Runline uses Plaid Technologies, Inc. to securely connect your bank accounts to our service. This page explains exactly what data Plaid collects, what Runline receives, how it's used, and how you can manage or revoke access at any time. You can also review Plaid's full End User Privacy Policy.
Plaid is a financial data aggregation service that acts as a secure intermediary between Runline and your financial institutions. Rather than sharing your banking username and password directly with Runline, you authenticate through Plaid's secure interface, which then provides Runline with a secure token to access only the data you've authorized.
Plaid is used by thousands of financial applications and is regulated under applicable financial data security standards.
When you connect your accounts through Plaid, Plaid may collect the following on Runline's behalf:
| Data Category | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Account Information | Account name, type (checking/savings/credit), masked account number, routing number | Display your accounts in Runline |
| Balance Information | Current balance, available balance, credit limit | Show real-time account balances |
| Transaction History | Transaction amounts, dates, merchant names, categories | Display and analyze your spending |
| Institution Data | Bank name, institution logo | Display which bank is connected |
| Identity Data (if enabled) | Name, address, email, phone on file with your bank | Account verification |
| Login Credentials | Your bank username and password | Handled exclusively by Plaid โ never transmitted to Runline |
Runline receives a secure access token from Plaid, not your login credentials. Using this token, Runline retrieves only the data categories you authorized during the connection process. We do not receive or store your banking username or password.
The specific data Runline stores is described in our Privacy Policy.
Plaid may use your data in accordance with its own privacy policy for purposes including fraud prevention, service improvement, and compliance. Plaid does not sell your personal financial data to advertisers. For full details, see Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.
You can disconnect any linked account from within Runline's Settings at any time. This stops Runline from making future data requests. To also revoke Plaid's stored access:
